Canopy

3D animation, sound, 2024-ongoing. Canopy is an ongoing collaboration with composer Julie Zhu exploring the deep emotional connection between humans and trees. Trees have long offered support and comfort, holding personal significance in many lives. This installation, combining 3D animation and the sound of bells, creates a contemplative space for visitors to reflect on their own relationships with trees. By integrating bells within the protective canopy, the work highlights trees and music as shared, essential elements of our collective experience.
